Corpus system software and laboratory equipment are the two special tools for DIA. The self-designed software applied by CLIPS can conduct discourse information analysis, annotation, and retrieval of all types of discourse, including multimodal discourse. At present, the available laboratory equipments are text analysis apparatus, the computer speech lab, and the polygraph.
