CLIPS(Corpus for the Legal Information Processing System)为依托进行语料收集及分析,具有较扎实的研究基础和条件。

Introduction to the Research Topic:
1. Research Topic:Authorship Attribution
2. Introduction:This research is the application of discourse information theory (DIT) to authorship attribution, which can provide discourse information features for the identification of authors’ writing habits. It is hoped that such findings can be used to attribute authors of Chinese texts.

Working Theory and Methodology:
Based on Discourse Information Theory (DIT) and Discourse Information Analysis (DIA), the research aims at identifying consistent discourse information markers for the sake of authorship attribution of Chinese texts.
Research Supports and Significance:
Firstly, depending on DIT for main theoretical supports, and CLIPS (Corpus for the Legal Information Processing System) for corpus from which the data of the research is collected, the research is conducted on the basis of an established foundation in research.
Secondly, in the present research, DIT can be applied directly in authorship attribution of Chinese data, which can dramatically improve the judiciary practice in China. Thus, the research is a necessary and promising exploration both theoretically and practically.
